New Illustration:
I just finished this and wanted to share it. It started as a redwine induced sketch from my little sketchbook that I always have with me.

I wanted the illustration to have a textured feel to it, a slightly flat look. I normally create my illustration using a combination of hand sketching, illustrator line drawing and then a finish in Photoshop.
This one was created solely in Illustrator though. I used patterns and gradients to give it texture.

Nice, I like this one! the texture gives it really nice feel. this will be my new favourite after the sad teddy bear
I like this. The water turned out especially nice. I actually like the look of the pen drawing better though. They definitely have a different feel to both of them.
Thanks for the comment. I think there is something very alive and vibrant in a hand drawn illustration that you can never recreate with digital illustration. It is two different worlds, and the idea with this was to show exactly that
