The art and design magazine Design Milk feature a free wallpaper every month always based on a design or art related quote.
This month I was very happy to be the featured artist. I chose to illustrate a quote by Picasso that I think rings very true:
” Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”
The wallpaper is free to download, there are four desktop sizes and it is also available for iPad and iPhone.

Wether it be digital illustrations, graphic design work or web design a little bit of texturing can go a long way to spice up a piece of work.
Over the past years I have used free texture packs from around the world wide web a lot in my work, made possible by all those kind people who photograph, or create them and makes them available to download.
So here’s payback; a free texture pack of crumbly painted surfaces, all collected and photographed in Cuba.

Most of my work is character based, so I wanted to have a go at creating something more abstract and based on geometric shapes.
And as it is now – according to the calendar anyway- spring, I thought it appropriate to make something more colourful and happy go lucky than I normally do.

As it is the christmas month, I wanted to do something christmassy to share with you all.
So here you have it, a free desktop wallpaper based on my cosy little hometown village Nibe, in Denmark.
It is a very small place that can get quite cold, and they put lights up in the narrow little streets, illuminating the old houses and buildings in the most charming way possible.
